Description

Delicious honey garlic chicken thighs that are sticky, sweet, and perfect for dinner!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp salted butter (divided)
  • 6 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • ½ tsp ground thyme
  • ½ tsp ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat 1 Tbsp butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear for 4–5 minutes per side, until deeply golden. Remove chicken to a plate.
  3. Reduce heat slightly and add the remaining 1 Tbsp butter to the skillet. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, just until fragrant.
  4. Remove skillet from heat. Whisk in honey, soy sauce, ground thyme, and ground ginger until smooth.
  5. If the sauce feels too thick, whisk in 1 Tbsp warm water or chicken broth.
  6. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
  7. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the sauce is sticky and caramelized.
  8. Spoon extra sauce over the chicken and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
