Description
Delicious honey garlic chicken thighs that are sticky, sweet, and perfect for dinner!
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- to taste salt and black pepper
- 2 Tbsp salted butter (divided)
- 6 garlic cloves (minced)
- 3 Tbsp honey
- 2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- ½ tsp ground thyme
- ½ tsp ground ginger
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Heat 1 Tbsp butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear for 4–5 minutes per side, until deeply golden. Remove chicken to a plate.
- Reduce heat slightly and add the remaining 1 Tbsp butter to the skillet. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, just until fragrant.
- Remove skillet from heat. Whisk in honey, soy sauce, ground thyme, and ground ginger until smooth.
- If the sauce feels too thick, whisk in 1 Tbsp warm water or chicken broth.
- Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
- Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the sauce is sticky and caramelized.
- Spoon extra sauce over the chicken and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
