A delicious strawberry cake layered with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract; beat until smooth.
- Divide the batter between the pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
- Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form; assemble the cake with layers of whipped cream and strawberries.
Notes
- Make sure the cake is completely cool before assembling.
- For best results, use fresh strawberries in season.
