- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar together until light. Add egg and vanilla then mix until smooth.
- Mix flour, cocoa, espresso powder, baking powder, and salt then add to wet ingredients and combine into a soft dough.
- Roll tablespoon portions into balls, slightly flatten, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool cookies completely on a rack.
- Beat mascarpone and powdered sugar then add heavy cream to form a smooth frosting.
- Pipe frosting onto cooled cookies and dust with cocoa powder.
