Delicious shrimp bread bites that are crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside.
Ingredients

- 6 slices Thick White Bread (Cut into 2-inch squares and remove crusts)
- 300 grams Shrimp (Fresh or thawed frozen shrimp)
- 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 teaspoon Ginger (Grated or minced)
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce (Substitute with tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil (Can substitute with olive oil)
- 1 teaspoon Salt/WP (White Pepper) (Adjust to taste)
- 1 large Egg (Or use a flax egg for vegan option)
- 2 tablespoons Chives/Green Onions (Optional garnish)
Instructions
- Cut the thick white bread into 2-inch squares, then carefully remove the crusts.
- Chop half of the shrimp into a paste and combine it with minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, white pepper, and egg.
- Take each bread square and generously fill it with the shrimp mixture, topping with a whole or halved shrimp.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 170°C (340°F), fry the bites shrimp-side up for 1-2 minutes, flip, and fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve immediately while still warm.
Notes
- Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying for optimal crispiness.
- Experiment with different herbs for added flavor.
