Description

A rich and creamy dark chocolate mousse topped with toasted hazelnuts.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts, chopped
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth.
  2. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
  3. In another clean bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold melted chocolate into whipped cream until combined, then gently incorporate egg whites for airiness.
  5. Stir in chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Spoon the mixture into individual cups and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
