Description
A rich and creamy dark chocolate mousse topped with toasted hazelnuts.
Ingredients

- 6 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts, chopped
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 large egg whites
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth.
- Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
- In another clean bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Fold melted chocolate into whipped cream until combined, then gently incorporate egg whites for airiness.
- Stir in chopped hazelnuts.
- Spoon the mixture into individual cups and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use high-quality dark chocolate.
- This mousse can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
